Repair yards handle mechanical and structural work, and we handle the finish. That division usually works well, but it is worth being explicit with both of us so nothing gets done twice or missed entirely.
A boat that has been through a repair yard often needs a proper detail afterwards. Yard work leaves dust, compound residue, and handling marks, and getting the finish back to where it should be is a specific job rather than a general wash.
