A gated marina on the Farm River estuary, the closest thing East Haven has to a boatyard.
We are not affiliated with Farm River State Park. We are an independent mobile detailer that services boats kept there.
Farm River State Park covers 62 acres on the western shore of the Farm River estuary, the last stop on the river's 16.5-mile run before it empties into Long Island Sound. It was designated a state park in 1998 and is publicly owned but privately operated.
The marina entrance off Mansfield Grove Road is gated. Access requires a community boating program pass, a dock rental, or a boat launch permit arranged through the marina concessionaire, so this is not a drive-up facility.
Because access is controlled, we arrange entry in advance with you rather than turning up and hoping. Give us your permit or rental details when you book and we will sort the logistics before the day.
Estuary water sits between fresh and salt, and the mud here is notorious at low tide. Boats kept on the Farm River pick up a waterline stain closer to what we see on river boats than on open Sound boats, and it responds much better to regular attention than to one annual correction.
The same packages we run across the shoreline. Restoration and seasonal work is quoted after a look at the boat.
