East Haven is about twenty minutes from us, and it is a different kind of shoreline town. There is no full-service marina in East Haven the way there is in Branford or Stratford. The waterfront here is beaches and neighborhoods: Cosey Beach, the town beach at Momauguin, Silver Sands.
That is precisely why a mobile detailer makes sense in East Haven. Boats here mostly live at home on trailers, on private docks, or in slips over in a neighboring town. Instead of asking you to run the boat somewhere, we bring the water, power, and everything else to wherever it sits.

A boat parked at the house has a different maintenance profile from one in a slip. It is not growing anything below the waterline, which saves you real money, but it does sit under trees, collect pollen and sap in the spring, and pick up bird droppings that etch gelcoat if left through a hot week.
Sap and droppings are the two things we most often have to correct on East Haven boats, and both respond much better to prompt attention than to waiting until haul-out. A good sealant or ceramic coating makes them far less likely to bond to the surface in the first place, which is the practical argument for coating a boat that spends most of its life on a trailer.
