New Haven Harbor, Quinnipiac River, Morris Cove
New Haven is about fifteen minutes up the coast and offers more variety than any other town we serve. The harbor holds a commercial port, two historic yacht clubs, and a set of river marinas up the Quinnipiac, and each keeps boats in noticeably different conditions.
We work all sides of the harbor, from City Point on the west to Morris Cove on the east and up into Fair Haven.

A boat slipped at City Point and a boat slipped up the Quinnipiac face genuinely different problems. Out on the harbor you are dealing with salt, wind, and the airborne fallout that comes with a commercial port. Up the river you are dealing with silt, tannins, and a much heavier waterline stain from brackish water.
We quote and approach the two differently. Harbor boats usually want frequent washing and a good sealant to handle salt and fallout. River boats more often need the waterline worked properly, sometimes with compounding, because the stain sets into the gelcoat rather than sitting on top of it.
