A 350-slip seaport complex on Black Rock Harbor, taking boats up to 200 feet.
We are not affiliated with Captain's Cove Seaport. We are an independent mobile detailer that services boats kept there.
Captain's Cove began in 1982 when former commercial lobsterman and fisherman Kaye Williams, with his wife Vivian and family, turned a vacant lot on Black Rock Harbor into what is now one of Connecticut's better known seaport complexes. It has slip space for 350 boats and can take vessels up to 200 feet.
Alongside the marina there is a boardwalk of small shops, a restaurant with a bar built around a nineteenth century tugboat wheelhouse, and a full service boat shop. The Cove has also been recognized by the state as a coastal public access site and has worked toward becoming one of Connecticut's greener marinas.
The range of boat sizes here is the widest we work with anywhere. A 24-foot center console and a 120-foot yacht can be on the same property, and they are entirely different jobs. Per-foot pricing keeps that fair: you pay for the boat you have.
On the larger vessels here, ceramic coating is almost always the right call over repeated correction. Compounding a 100-foot hull is a serious undertaking, and doing it every couple of seasons because the finish keeps going chalky is a far more expensive path than coating it once and washing it properly.
The same packages we run across the shoreline. Restoration and seasonal work is quoted after a look at the boat.
