Dodson Boatyard is the principal full-service yard on Stonington Harbor, operating a 60-ton Travelift, a fuel dock, and a ship's store. It sits in what locals will tell you, with some justice, is the most beautiful harbour on the East Coast.
Stonington is Connecticut's easternmost cruising port and the only one with genuine Atlantic Ocean exposure, which puts the boats kept here in a different category from anything further west.

Atlantic exposure is not a marginal difference. Everything west of Stonington is Long Island Sound, which is protected water whether owners think of it that way or not. Boats here take a salt load that nothing on the rest of our coast matches, and a finish that would hold two seasons in Milford will look tired after one.
That makes this the strongest case for ceramic coating anywhere in our range and the place we are least likely to recommend anything else. At eighty minutes from Milford, work out here makes sense as coating jobs and full corrections rather than routine washing.
