Saybrook Point Marina sits right at the mouth of the Connecticut River, offering seasonal slips, transient dockage, and deepwater access capable of taking mega yachts. It operates alongside the Saybrook Point Resort with a fitness centre, spa, and fine dining.
The entrance runs between two breakwaters marked by the Saybrook Breakwater Light. The 410-mile river empties here with real force on an outgoing tide, which is worth respecting on the approach.

This is big-boat territory, and on a 60 or 80 foot hull the per-foot maths changes what sensible maintenance looks like. Compounding a vessel that size is a serious undertaking, and repeating it every couple of seasons because the finish keeps hazing costs far more across three years than coating it properly once.
The river is the other factor. It carries fresh water, silt, and tannin down past the point, so boats here sit in genuinely mixed water and the waterline stain is the brown, set-in kind that needs compounding rather than washing. Saybrook Point is one of the marinas where we recommend ceramic coating outright more often than not.
