Brown's Boat Yard has been part of the Guilford marina community since the 1940s, sitting at the mouth of the West River at 348 Chaffinch Island Road, about a two-minute motor up from Guilford Harbor. The 30-slip marina takes power and sail up to around 40 feet drawing six feet, and the yard stores boats up to 46 feet over the winter.
There is a ValvTect fuel dock open year round on weekdays, a 25-ton lift for emergency haulouts, and it is roughly a quarter mile south of Guilford Yacht Club on the same river.

Worth being straightforward here: Brown's runs its own service operation and lists detailing among the work done in its yard. If your boat is stored or slipped with them, talk to them first. We would rather you get the work done well by whoever is best placed than have you juggle two providers on one hull.
Where we usually come in on this river is for owners who keep a boat here but want their detailing handled separately, or who want us at the slip mid-season rather than at haul-out. The West River carries silt down past Chaffinch Island, so the waterline is the recurring job on boats kept anywhere along this stretch.
