We are not affiliated with Essex Boat Works. We are an independent mobile detailer that services boats kept there.
Essex Boat Works is one of the anchor facilities on the Essex waterfront, a full-service yard with Travelift haulout capability and transient dockage, sitting on one of the prettiest harbours on the Connecticut River.
The Connecticut River Museum is a short walk away, housed in a nineteenth century riverside warehouse, and the yard sits in the middle of a town that has been building and repairing boats for centuries.
Yards of this calibre handle their own gelcoat and paint work, so be clear with everyone about who is doing what. We are glad to work alongside a yard, and there is no sense duplicating something already on their schedule for your boat.
Fresh-water berths are not the easy option owners sometimes assume. No salt load and little growth is a genuine advantage, but tannin staining at the waterline is among the more stubborn things we deal with, and prevention beats correction here by a wide margin.
The same packages we run across the shoreline. Restoration and seasonal work is quoted after a look at the boat.
