Thamesport Marina sits on the Thames waterfront in New London, within reach of the downtown, the train station, and the ferry terminals.
It is a convenient base for boats working the eastern end of Long Island Sound and the waters around Fishers Island.

What we watch for at this marina.
An urban waterfront berth brings city grime as well as harbour grime. Between the two, horizontal surfaces here accumulate a gritty film faster than at almost any other marina we service, and it needs washing off properly rather than wiping.
The Thames carries heavy traffic and the wake is constant, so fenders and lines work hard. On a boat kept here we always look closely at the rubrail and topsides where the fenders sit, because that is where the damage shows first.
