We are not affiliated with Three Belles Marina. We are an independent mobile detailer that services boats kept there.
Three Belles Marina sits on Smith Cove at 113 Oswegatchie Hills Road, about a mile up the Niantic River just south of the Oswegatchie Hills. It is family owned and operated, running slips up to 55 feet with a 20-ton travel lift, moorings, winter storage, and a full-time service department.
It has been a certified Clean Marina since 2010, and the Three Belles Café on the waterfront serves breakfast and lunch. The yard was formerly Bareuther's Boat Yard, and the Old Stone House built after the 1815 hurricane still stands on the hill behind it.
Smith Cove is protected and calm, which owners appreciate and finishes do not entirely. Sheltered water means less wind and rain reaching the boat, so film and grime settle and stay rather than being rinsed off naturally. A recurring wash cadence does more good here than it would in an exposed harbour.
Getting in and out is the other consideration. The Niantic River inlet runs currents that can exceed five knots, and boat traffic through it is heavy in season. Anything loose or poorly protected on a boat gets tested hard every trip, and that shows up as wear at the rubrail and around hardware.
The same packages we run across the shoreline. Restoration and seasonal work is quoted after a look at the boat.
