Byram Marina sits in Byram Park just south of the I-95 exit on Ritch Avenue, at the far western corner of Connecticut. It provides slip space for about 300 vessels up to 22 feet with beams to nine feet, plus out-water mooring space for another 100 vessels up to 36 feet drawing up to seven feet.
It is the largest of the Greenwich town facilities by boat count, and like the others it runs on a resident facility use permit from mid-April to mid-November.

Byram splits neatly into two jobs. The slip boats are small, open, and heavily sun-exposed, and they respond very well to a straightforward polish and seal. The moored boats run considerably larger, up to 36 feet, and they sit out in the water swinging with wind and tide, taking salt spray from every angle with no dock alongside.
For the moored boats the practical arrangement is to bring the vessel in to a float for the work. For the slip boats it is quick, high-value work: a small hull takes a full correction and seal in a fraction of the time a cruiser needs, and the before and after is usually striking.
