We are not affiliated with Housatonic Boat Club. We are an independent mobile detailer that services boats kept there.
The Housatonic Boat Club has been active since 1887, which makes it one of the older boating institutions on this river. It is a deliberately simple, family-oriented club: no restaurant, no bar, no pool, just members and the Housatonic. Around 30 floating slips, taking vessels up to about 45 feet.
It is a private club, so we coordinate access through the member and the club rather than turning up unannounced.
Small clubs like this one usually have limited hose and power points, and members are rightly protective of shared facilities. We arrive fully self-contained with our own water and power, so we are not competing with anyone for the dock spigot.
The approach and dockside depth here runs around 12 feet with a tidal range near 7 feet. On floating docks that swing is handled for you, but it does mean the waterline sits in constantly moving brackish water, and the staining that follows is the main thing we correct on club boats here.
The same packages we run across the shoreline. Restoration and seasonal work is quoted after a look at the boat.
