Milford Boat Works sits at 1 High Street at the Head of the Harbor, a full-service boatyard and marina with a ship's store and fuel dock. It offers moorings, slips, and year-round marine repair, and Wm. J. Kolkmeyer Yachts operates from the same site.
It is a short motor in from Long Island Sound, five minutes from I-95 and the Merritt, and a walk from the Milford train station. Across the harbour and the Housatonic there are roughly 130 floating dock mooring permits and 70 mushroom mooring permits.

At the head of the harbour you are further from the tidal flush at the mouth, and the water carries more of what comes down the Wepawaug. The waterline here tends to run browner than on a boat kept further out toward Charles Island, and it responds better to being caught early than to a single correction at haul-out.
This is a working yard that handles its own mechanical and structural work, so be clear with us about what you want from whom. We are glad to work alongside a yard rather than around it, and there is no sense in duplicating something they are already doing to your boat.
