Safe Harbor Port Milford sits on Milford Harbor, part of the Safe Harbor network that also runs Port Milford's neighbours up and down this coast at Stratford, Branford, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, and Mystic.
For us it is one of the closest marinas we service, minutes from where the truck is parked.
Milford Harbor is genuinely salt water with a good tidal flush and open exposure toward Charles Island, which makes it a cleaner harbour than the brackish river berths just west of here on the Housatonic. Growth at the waterline is the recurring job rather than set-in staining.
Because we are local, this is a marina where a recurring wash plan works particularly well. Weekly or bi-weekly visits are straightforward when there is no travel to justify, and a boat on that cadence in this harbour holds its gloss for years rather than needing correction every second or third season.
