We are not affiliated with Noank Shipyard. We are an independent mobile detailer that services boats kept there.
Noank Shipyard sits right at the mouth of the Mystic River and is one of the longest-standing marinas in southeastern Connecticut. It runs a 600-foot fuel dock and can take vessels up to 300 feet, and in 2024 it won the Boater's Choice Elite Fleet award for customer service and facilities.
The position is exceptional. From here it is a straightforward run to Block Island, Fishers Island, Newport, and Long Island, which is why yachts from well outside the region call in.
This is where the largest vessels in our entire service area are kept, and on a hull of that scale the economics of maintenance change completely. Correcting a faded finish on a very large yacht is a major undertaking. Coating it properly once and washing it on a schedule is a fraction of the cost across three seasons.
Fishers Island Sound is also genuinely more exposed than anything west of here. Boats based at Noank get used for real passages rather than afternoon runs, and they take weather accordingly. Salt spray on a boat that regularly crosses open water is a different order of problem from a harbour boat's.
The same packages we run across the shoreline. Restoration and seasonal work is quoted after a look at the boat.
