Stamford Harbor, West Branch, East Branch

Stamford is about forty-five minutes west of us and holds one of the largest concentrations of dockage on the Connecticut coast. The harbor splits into a West Branch and an East Branch behind a hurricane barrier, which makes it one of the better protected commercial harbors on the Sound.

It is also the widest range of boat sizes we deal with in a single town. Harbor Point's four marinas take vessels up to 120 feet on some docks, while the municipal marina at Czescik serves local owners with far more modest boats. Per-foot pricing is what keeps that fair.

A recurring wash plan keeps a hard-used boat looking right all season.

The hurricane barrier and the branch structure make Stamford Harbor genuinely calm, which owners love and finishes do not. Enclosed water means less wind and rain reaching the boat, so the film that settles out of a busy urban and commercial harbor just sits on the horizontal surfaces rather than getting rinsed away.

That film is gritty. The most common damage we correct in Stamford is fine scratching in the gelcoat from someone wiping dry dust off a deck or house top. On a boat kept here, a recurring wash plan is doing real protective work, not just cosmetic upkeep. And on the larger Harbor Point vessels, a coating plus regular washing is far cheaper across three seasons than letting a 90-foot hull go chalky and correcting it.
